What I have been up to

Sorry the portfolio page has been a bit neglected of late, I want to start posting here regularly but obviously the blog and other projects take priority so it has been quite a while! 

Here are some updates and news bits from the last month or so.

Nikki Nakki Lou Updates

I've been up to a few bits and pieces on the blog, mostly behind the scenes stuff. But a few little changes at front of shop:

• I have a new feature on the blog which has replaced the Wishful Thinking posts called Shopping Lust, which features my Item of the Week and Shoe of the Week. Throughout the week, the chosen items can be found with direct links as permanent blog widgets.
• Currently working on my 'Blog Love' page which has for the moment is not on the site, but a newer shinier version will be up soon. I am also hoping to update the other pages shortly.
• I'm currently in work with other bloggers and I am hoping to get some guest posts going. This is something I am really excited about as I want to offer as much range as I can to readers.

Nikki Nakki Lou Featured on Grazia

Great news for the blog during fashion week - Nikki Nakki Lou was featured on Grazia's blog! This is such a great honour for me! It is nice when big sites recognise smaller blogs like mine.

Work for Body Confidential

I am still working with Body Confidential, and I am really enjoying writing shop reviews for their fashion section. Recently I had the chance to go to the launch of Simply Be's first shop opening in Liverpool. At the launch I got interview Lisa Riley (former Emmerdale star).

Mix-d: Face 2011

My work for Mix-d:Face 2011 is still ongoing and we are now in the final countdown to the big event on 22nd October! I have really enjoyed being part of such a great event and looking forward to the final push for the main event.

It's all go for me at the moment!

The last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic. Thought I'd drop by and keep you posted on what's been happening...

• Not long to go till Mix-d:Face 2011 (add 22nd October to your diaries folks!). The whole Mix-d: team has been working flat out to make sure the event is a great one. 
• I have plans for a couple of guest posts on the blog soon, so keep your eyes peeled. 
• I'm still guest writing reviews for Body Confidential, check out my latest review here.

Slight Changes Over at Nikki Nakki Lou

As I move forward with my blog and aim towards the future, I have been making some changes to elements of the site. Some of the regular features have changed days/have been allocated a new day and there are a few extra bits and pieces now on the site. Some things that I felt weren't working any more have ceased to be to make room for shiny new content. 

Regular postings are now back on the blog following a period of transition for me professionally and personally.

There will be a few more tweaks in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled! I have some new tricks up my sleeve.

So happy to be moving into the next stage of my blog.
